Here’s how I spent 2024, listed alphabetically I focused on: acting, coaching, humor, improv, professional development, speaking, and teaching.
Focus: Acting
Cast in my first commercial in September with Oregon Lottery produced by Pollinate. Additional asset here.
Focus: Anthology and Documentary
Executive Producing Black Anthology Project (B.A.P.), an anthology and documentary of the history of Black Improv. This project was partly supported by the Frank-Ratchye Further Fund Full Grant #2022-040 at the Frank-Ratchye STUDIO for Creative Inquiry at Carnegie Mellon University and partly by the Regional Arts and Culture Council for the Arts3C grant to bring B.A.P. to Portland, OR in October 2023 in partnership with Kickstand Comedy.
Focus: Coaching
Executive coach for PACE Pittsburgh Cultural Treasures Initiative (PCTI) program for an Executive leader in an arts organization
Focus: Humor
Presented Master's dissertation research on, "Stand-Up Comedy as an Applied Theatre Practice: One Black Woman's Autoethnographical Perspective at the Association for Applied and Therapeutic Humor annual conference.
Focus: Improv
Completed 200 in-person improv shows as of December.
Hired by CSz Seattle as Head Coach for The Loop, a long-form improv club where members are assembled into ensembles to gain performance opportunities for shows they create.
Perfomed in Kickstand’s 10-year improv shows with Mopsaic and Will Hines
Guested on Block Party in Baltimore
Celebrated 10 years performing improv comedy in August.
Cast on Csz Seattle’s Pro Team. Competitively, clean improv comedy for all ages.
Cast on Bandit Theater’s Main Stage team, The Harold Next Door, a Harold improv team based on posts from the NextDoor app.
Guest coach for The ImprovBaby
Cast on Bandit Theater’s Summer Teams Tumbleweeds with monthly performances.
Guested on Girl Talk in Baltimore, an all-wome improv show.
Reunion with The Collective, Pittsburgh's first all-Black improv troupe, that I founded in 2015.

Alumni Panelist for Duquesne University’s Professional Coach Certification Program

Hired by Bandit Theater to join their teaching staff to teach Intro to Improv 101: You Are Enough as part of their long-form curriculum centered on game of the scene.
Hired by Rise Comedy to teach, “Oops,…Ouch: Responding to Unexpected Moments of Harm” a workshop for improv teachers to practice how to address harm.
